Where have I been?

Hey guys. I know I haven't posted anything in a while and I feel like I owe you an explanation. My lack of content has been a combination of a few things. Firstly, was my preparation for Babscon, which I just returned home from. Secondly, I feel like I've hit a bit of a wall with my work. What I mean is, I could continue doing simple pieces like Fight Your Fears (animated) which don't require layered files, but I know now that I am capable of making better, more complex animations such as Another Star which I did for Exiark. Because artists are less likely to part with their project files (and even then the likelihood of them being compatible with my methods is so-so), it's difficult to produce content as often. This of course doesn't mean I'm stopping. I am just focusing on creating high-quality content at the expense of quantity of content. As far as what I am working on now, I started an amusing little project based on luminaura's piece The Cake is a Pie with a little bit of help from equumamici. I anticipate working on that this coming week between Sunday and Tuesday. You can keep an eye out for a post here or follow me on Picarto to watch me work or look out for the completed piece on my YouTube channel.

The holiday season has been pretty hectic for me. Between family, work and lots of travelling, I haven't had a whole lot of time to work on projects. But things have settled down now and I plan on getting back to work this week. First on my to-do list is a Luna portrait generously provided by TheDracoJayProduct. I plan on streaming at least part of it, so keep an eye out for that. Hope your holidays went well and happy new year

OC Redesign (spoilers)

Ok ,if you missed two spoiler warnings, that's your own fault. Moving on.
In light of the new character designs of changelings, I'm considering updating my OC, Chance, to match. I've always considered him a friendly changeling, which is why I was glad to see the introduction of Thorax. And now, with the change, I don't think it'd be unreasonable for him to follow suit. However I'm not completely sold on the color scheme. I was thinking maybe a hybrid of the two designs. What do you guys think?

Commission Info

So I've had a few inquiries about commissions and after some long thought on it, I've come up with something that I hope everyone agrees is reasonable.
First and foremost, there are some rules with my commission requests as my work is not wholly my own.
1. You must be the creator, rights owner, or have received written permission from the owner for the piece you request.
2. Requests with permission from the original artist have the following stipulation:
I assume you are telling the truth. If I post something and the artist contacts me, asking me to take it down because they have not given permission for it to be used, I will comply and your commission will not be refunded.
3. I am not currently taking requests for NSFW pieces. I'm not particularly against NSFW art but I'm still undecided if I want my work to include it.
4. Unfortunately, not every piece works well with the method I use. I will need to review the piece before I can confirm whether or not what you ask can be done.
Alright, now that that's out of the way, on to pricing (which is in USD).
First Tier: $10
A simple animation with a few effects. Images with simple or no backgrounds work best for this.
Example:
Second Tier: $20
A more complex image with more complex animations. These ones can sometimes be the trickiest, depending on the background.
Example:
Third Tier: $70
The whole shebang with special effects applied in After Effects. Please note that a layered file such as a .PSD is required for this method.

My Content Schedule

Hello and welcome to all my new followers! I wanted to make this journal to give you all an idea of what my content schedule will be like.
I will be streaming my art-related content - usually animation - mid-day on Mondays (EST) at picarto.tv/TheShadowscale
Anything I make during streams or while off-air I will upload on Tuesdays.
Wednesdays will be my game stream day. You can find my channel "A Changeling Plays..." at twitch.tv/thespelltheif
The remainder of the week I work my full-time job and will most likely not be streaming.
Now, I'm still fairly new to updating DA regularly, streaming etc. so please bear with me as I make my pages a bit more "presentable".
